Your Initial Panel
WHAT’S IN YOUR LABS
Your initial lab panel gives us a complete picture of your hormones, metabolism, thyroid, and overall health so we can personalize your care from day one. Every panel is a flat $150 for both men and women.
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
A snapshot of kidney and liver function, blood sugar, electrolytes, and fluid balance.
IGF-1 (LC/MS)
Reflects growth hormone activity, which influences muscle, metabolism, and recovery.
Lipid Panel with Ratios
Cholesterol and triglyceride levels used to gauge cardiovascular risk.
Testosterone — Free, Bioavailable & Total
Measures the male sex hormone in its total and usable forms — central to energy, libido, muscle, and mood.
Free T3
The active thyroid hormone that drives metabolism and energy.
Estradiol
A form of estrogen; in men it must stay balanced against testosterone for healthy mood, bone, and libido.
FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone)
A pituitary signal that helps us understand how the body is regulating testosterone and fertility.
Hemoglobin A1c
Your average blood sugar over the past ~3 months — a key marker for diabetes and insulin resistance.
PSA, Total
A prostate health screening marker for men.
LH (Luteinizing Hormone)
Another pituitary signal that, with FSH, shows how the body is driving testosterone production.
CBC (with Differential & Platelets)
A complete blood count that screens for anemia, infection, and overall blood health.
Total T4 (Thyroxine)
The main storage form of thyroid hormone, used alongside TSH and Free T3 to assess thyroid function.
TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone)
The primary screen for an under- or over-active thyroid.
Vitamin B12
Essential for energy, nerve function, and red blood cell production.
Your provider may add or adjust tests based on your history and goals.
Getting Your Labs Done
Where do I get my blood drawn?
Take your order to any Quest Diagnostics Patient Service Center. You don’t need an appointment, but booking one usually means you’ll be seen sooner. Find the nearest location at questdiagnostics.com/locations.
When should I get my labs done?
Please get your labs drawn at least 7 days before your consultation so there’s time for the results to come back. If that’s not possible, use the “reschedule” button in your appointment confirmation email to move your visit to a later date.
Do I pay anything at the lab?
No. You won’t pay anything at the time of your draw. New patients are charged for the panel at the time of booking. Existing patients have the cost added to their monthly invoice.
Do I need to fast?
Fasting is recommended but not strictly required. If you can, have clear liquids only from midnight the night before your draw.
What about my thyroid medication?
If you take a thyroid medication such as levothyroxine or NP Thyroid, do not take it the morning of your draw. Skipping that single morning dose lets us interpret your results more accurately. Resume your normal schedule right after.
